If you have more time and energy, consider venturing further into the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park. This park is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, known for its rich biodiversity and dramatic landscapes. You can choose from various trails depending on your interests and fitness level. Whether you prefer a gentle walk or a more strenuous hike, the park offers something for everyone.

Just a short stroll out of the village rewards the more energetic visitor with some stunning views of the Sierra de Grazalema.

From the village itself you can take the short but steep walk from the top of the village via the “Los Charcones” footpath to the Puerto del Boyar. It takes about an hour to walk the 5 kilometres and you are rewarded with stunning panoramic views across the Sierra de Grazalema. Then, its an easy stroll back down to the village for a cool beer in the plaza!

If you have a car, then a short drive up to the Puerto de las Palomas (the highest viewpoint in the area) is also the start point for a circular 1.5 hour walk around the “Cerro de Coros”. Even if you don’t wan’t to do the walk, the views from the Puerto de las Palomas are absolutely stunning.

Evening time: Relaxation and some Authentic Cuisine?

As the day winds down, head back to the village and find a terrace with a view to enjoy a relaxing drink before dinner.
